Asek kennt den Polizisten dort.

Rahman sieht Asek und atmet tief aus.

„Wann ist das passiert?“, fragt Asek.

„Der Dieb war im Zimmer.“

„Er ist über den Balkon geflohen.“
"He escaped over the balcony."
Asek schaut nach oben.
Asek looks up.
Der Balkon ist im ersten Stock.

Darunter ist Sand.

„Lass uns die Spuren sehen“, sagt Asek.

Sie gehen unter den Balkon.

Er legt dem Dieb Handschellen an.
He puts handcuffs on the thief.
„Wer sind Sie?“, fragt Rahman den Dieb.
"Who are you?" asks Rahman to the thief.
„Ich brauchte Geld“, weint der Dieb.
"I needed money," cries the thief.
„Das ist keine Entschuldigung“, sagt Asek.
"That is no excuse," says Asek.
Sie fahren zurück zum Hotel.
They drive back to the hotel.
Frau Begum wartet in der Lobby.
Mrs. Begum waits in the lobby.
Sie ist sehr nervös.
She is very nervous.
Rahman gibt ihr die Kette.
Rahman gives her the necklace.
„Meine Perlen!“, ruft sie glücklich.
"My pearls!" she calls happily.
„Danke, Inspektor Rahman!“
"Thank you, Inspector Rahman!"
Rahman lächelt und zeigt auf Asek.
Rahman smiles and points to Asek.
„Danken Sie ihm. Er ist der Experte.“
"Thank him. He is the expert."
Frau Begum schüttelt Aseks Hand.
Mrs. Begum shakes Asek's hand.
„Vielen Dank. Wie kann ich Sie bezahlen?“
"Many thanks. How can I pay you?"
Asek klopft den Sand von seiner Hose.
Asek pats the sand off his trousers.
„Ich bin hier für eine Hochzeit“, sagt Asek.
"I am here for a wedding," says Asek.
„Ich möchte nur ein gutes Abendessen.“
"I only want a good dinner."
„Sie sind eingeladen“, sagt Frau Begum.
"You are invited," says Mrs. Begum.
„Das beste Buffet im Hotel.“

Am Abend sitzt Asek im Restaurant.
In the evening Asek sits in the restaurant.
Er isst gegrillten Fisch und Garnelen.

Er schaut auf das Meer.

Aber Asek weiß: Das Böse schläft nie.

Er nimmt sein Glas Wasser.
